Timoteo Cabrera, MD, FASDIN is an interventional nephrologist providing routine and complex dialysis access care to patients living with end-stage renal disease. With more than 20 years of experience identifying and addressing the causes of access dysfunction, Dr. Cabrera performs minimally invasive procedures, including percutaneous fistulogram, arteriogram, angioplasty, thrombectomy, catheter placement, banding of grafts and fistulas, creation of percutaneous fistulas and Peritoneal Dialysis catheter placement. He is currently the medical director of STAR Vascular Access Center in San Antonio, Texas.
Dr. Cabrera received his medical degree from University of Texas Health Science Center in San Antonio, where he also completed an internship and residency in internal medicine and a fellowship in nephrology.
Dr. Cabrera is an active member of the American Society of Nephrology, the Texas Medical Association, and the Renal Physicians Association. He has been designated as a “Best Doctor” in San Antonio Scene Magazine and lectures regularly at industry conferences.
Dr. Cabrera is board certified in internal medicine and nephrology and is a fellow of the American Society of Diagnostic and Interventional Nephrology.
