William H. Pechter, MD is an interventional radiologist that specializes in vascular access care and maintenance for dialysis patients, and minimally invasive treatments for uterine fibroids, peripheral artery disease, varicoceles and varicose veins. Dr. Pechter treats patients at Triangle Vascular Associates in Cary, North Carolina.
After receiving his Bachelor of Arts at Dartmouth College and his Masters in Biomedical Science at Florida Atlantic University, Dr. Pechter earned his medical degree from the University of South Florida in Tampa, Florida, where he also interned in internal medicine. He completed his residency at Yale Diagnostic Radiology and received his fellowship training at Yale Interventional Radiology, both in New Haven, Connecticut.
Dr. Pechter is an active member of the American College of Radiology, the Radiological Society of North America and the Society of Interventional Radiology. He has been involved with several research studies that have resulted in poster presentations at the International Symposium on Endovascular Therapy, the American College of Radiology, and the Association of University Radiologists. His outside interests include playing guitar, tennis, squash, snowboarding and computer programming.
Dr. Pechter is board certified in diagnostic radiology. He is also Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS) certified by the American Heart Association.
